Comedies
The Incredibles- Loved the whole premise of this. Plus, it's friggin' super heroes with Pixar!!
Death To Smoochy- It's hard not to love a movie with Robin Williams but it is with Danny DeVito as director. Suprisingly, the pros outweigh the cons with Edward Norton as the lovable Smoochy and Robin Williams as Rainbow Randolph (who's probably gay)...
Big Daddy- One of Adam Sandler's best movies. Combine piss-yourself humor with innocence and you got this keeper.
Joe Dirt- Daaaang, it's David Spade as a redneck-white-trash loser! What's to hate?
50 First Dates- Another Sandler classic. Original plot with Rob Schnieder as that idiot native and you've got a funny movie...
Super Troopers- Cops that act like dumbasses? C'mon meow...
Office Space- Quite possibly the one movie with the evilest bad guy ever: Bill Lumberg. Damn, it feels good to be a gangsta...
The Longest Yard- The best Adam Sandler movie not just because it involves hilarious football casualtie but because of the funny-ass characters. Baby Face Tony, Caretaker, Cheeseburger Mike...
Me, Myself & Irene- Jim Carrey really makes you wonder what this guy can't do. How the hell can you play two seperate characters in the same body? Jim Carrey's a badass, man...
Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story- A great half-assed plot that is chock full of cliches due to the brilliant actor, Ben Stiller's White Goodman. "[The bull portrait]'s a metaphor... but that actually happened."
Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby- Whoever would've thunk Will Ferrel pull of being a NASCAR driver? ...Will Ferrel apperantly.
Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy- Will Ferrel at his prime. The cast here is really cool. Champ, Brian Fantana (who calls his penis "The Octagon" and his balls "James Westphal" and "Dr. Kenneth Noisewater"), and Brick (who is polite, rarely late, and enjoys a nice pair of slacks, eating ice cream and says that later a doctor informed that his I.Q. is 48, pronouncing him mentally retarded)... God bless Brick.
Zoolander- Ben Stiller at his prime. Seriously, this film indicates that Ben Stiller should produce, write and direct more movies.
Dumb & Dumber- The king of comedies. Insanely funny and impossible not to laugh at. The ending has got to be worthy of the best ending to a movie ever, man. What the hell where they thinking?
Action
Sin City- What a great anthology of short stories based on Frank Miller's amazing series. Black and white can sure as hell make a difference in a movie. Gore here isn't really that cranked as opposed to the comics though... That's why it's in this spot.
300- Another movie based on Frank Miller's book but, seriously, I prefer the movie. Zack Snyder directs a freaking kickass film about warriors. I can't wait for the guy's next film, The Watchmen...
Collateral- Without a doubt Tom Cruise's best damned movie ever. A totally random story with some badass twists are presented here in this Michael Mann epic.
Rocky- All the movies starring the Italian Stallion are the best kind of movies with franchises. As much of crappy actor Sylvester Stallon can be, he can write/direct six (count 'em: six) fantastic underdog stories.
The Departed- Martin Scorsee crafts a film with a good theme: rats. Whose side are you on? How many people can you possibly betray? Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg and Jack Nicholson all portray unique, double-sided characters here.
Heat- Al Pacino and Robert De Niro in a Michael Mann film; 'Nuff said.
The Good Shepherd- I'm not so sure how many times it takes to fully understand this movie, but I'm intrigued as hell. Symbolism here is insane!
Equilibrium- A friggin' movie full of "Holy crap!" fight scenes. Christian Bale is so emotionless and broading that the final five seconds of the film make you go, "That's a first." Oh, and the main character holds the record for most onscreen kills seen in a film by a single character, 118!!
The Matrix- The trilogy of amazing action. Completely composed of headscratching moments that make you wonder if you're somewhere in chair with a cable linked to the back of your head.
Drama/Supense
Signs- A good M. Night Shalayman film with a good sense of "is this coincidental or this just plain wierd?" Mel Gibson did an average job at his part, unfortunately. He just doesn't strike as the kind of guy who'd be a reverend...
One Hour Photo- Robin Williams is one sick bastard. Not only is he a stalker stalking a seemingly perfect family that he admires, he loves photos! What could possibly be worse?
American History X- Edward Norton has to be one of the best actors, man. He can really make you feel threatened, pity, angry, and sad all in one film. That's talent!
A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints- Very well handled movie centered on a successful dude's past as a kid. Apperantly, going to jail and having near-death experiences was considered normal for the guy. Eventually, he realizes as crazy as his friends and family were (and trust me, they were) they're all good people. Shia LeBeouf's acting chops actually surprised me.
I Am Sam- A good-natured father tries his best to keep the custody of his brilliant daughter... Heard it before, right? Well, keep this in mind: the dude's mentally challenged. See what I mean? Instant classic! Sean Penn made me feel like crap, man. He's another good actor.
Primal Fear- Ed Norton stars in this movie that jumpstarted his acting career. It's really not so hard to realize why exactly after watching this film. His character is put on trial for murder but here's the kicker: he's got multiple personality disorder which leads to an interesting plot. The killer is really a badass while the original personality is a calm guy who is afraid of his predicament. The movie ends with one of the most surprising resolutions I have ever seen. It's a huge twist...
Insomnia- Al Pacino and Robin Williams: 'Nuff said.
Bicentennial Man- Family gets robot servant. Robot servant develops emotions. Skip to the future and the family's youngest daughter is a grown woman and oops! Robot servant falls in love with the daughter! Robin Williams really makes this movie very entertaining.
Slingblade- Billy Bob Thorton is very wierd person. The dude went out with Angelina Jolie, plays characters that are really the same person (Hiya, Bad Santa) and yet, he writes and directs an extremely good movie!! It doesn't make sense how this works! Can't believe how talented the bastard is...
The Pursuit of Happyness- A movie based on an actual guy's life, the story is really simple and seems unoriginal but, hey, I love it. At first, the movie can seem depressing but once the credits roll, you feel satisfied with the overall plot. Seriously, this movie was disgustingly close to making me cry...
A Beautiful Mind- A lot of people like to think of this as a watered down version of Fight Club, but it's totally not. Things in this movie are to be paid with close attention to find out the revelation towards the climax. Sadly, it made me think a lot more than sad.
Donnie Darko- ...No words to describe this BAMF film.
What Dreams May Come- Robin Williams' best film ever. Ever wonder what Heaven's like? Well, getcher ass over to a Blockbuster and rent this flick and watch it! I think I made a tiny microscopic tear watching this.
Forrest Gump- My favorite movie of all time, people. This movie has everything: comedy, action and crying scenes. Nothing can be better than Forrest Gump in cinema-- nothing. I have always cried when watching this masterful film and I still do (God forbid I come across it in TNT on Saturday). Tom Hanks has to have set a new standard for actors with this remarkable work of art. I still can't understand how well the crew used special effects so realistic (this movie was made in 1994). Ah, damn, I love this movie... _________________ "There's a passage I got memorized-- Ezekiel 25:17: 'The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.'
...I been sayin' that shit for years and if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant-- I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass... but I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice. Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man... and I'm the righteous man and Mr. 9mm here... he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness, or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish... I'd like that... But that shit ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak and I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd."

Sure, it's scary but, honestly, that was the only reason to watch it (pun intended)...
Damn, you know what other movies I forgot about? The Blair Witch Project and The Excorcism of Emily Rose! _________________ "There's a passage I got memorized-- Ezekiel 25:17: 'The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.
