"Much, much, much better than The Orphanage."

That was exactly what I had thought after walking out of the AMC theater. This film is proof that with a little spark of inspiration, the possibilities recognize no limits. In this case, the book of the same name has been adapted into a film that I couldn't possibly explain how masterful this is. From beginning to end, you're attention cannot be diverted from the screen. I mean, really, we've all had that moment where you recall something stupidly arbitary while watching something. "Where'd we park again?"
No such thing here.
It's helluva storyline filled with meticulous details that in retrospect just blow you away. It's shocking how the Coen Bros. helmed this film. I can't help but praise them for such a gem, though I'm curious to see how the original novel was presented. Unless the brothers turned shit into gold, I completely give credit where credit is due.
The cast really made me skeptical. Tommy Lee Jones had reached his prime a while back, but he gave a reality slap to the face. And these other guys, like Javier Bardlem where unknown to me. Incidentally, Bardlem gathers almost a third of my fascination here. His skills create a primal character unlike anything I've witnessed before. Think Wolverine without the claws and you've almost scratched the surface.
I could go on and on about this, but rather than dissect my most memorable moments, I'll just heavily suggest everyone to watch this movie ASAP. This movie couldn't have possibly been any better.

"There's a passage I got memorized-- Ezekiel 25:17: 'The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness. For he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know I am the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon you.'
...I been sayin' that shit for years and if you ever heard it, it meant your ass. I never really questioned what it meant-- I thought it was just a cold-blooded thing to say to a motherfucker before you popped a cap in his ass... but I saw some shit this mornin' made me think twice. Now I'm thinkin': it could mean you're the evil man... and I'm the righteous man and Mr. 9mm here... he's the shepherd protecting my righteous ass in the valley of darkness, or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish... I'd like that... But that shit ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak and I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin', Ringo. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd."
